New Drawings

This past year my attention has turned toward drawing, specifically charcoal and conte drawing. A new suite of work has come from what began as a winter meditation, watching the weather move across Pigeon Lake. In these drawings I allude to depth of field and light. I also suggest storms, darkness, and restlessness. Working in this manner has become primary to my studio. I continue to expand the series of 14 x 11″ drawings while also moving into larger and smaller scale works.
