Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition - Report

A wonderful weekend was had at Nathan Philips Square for the 48th annual Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. I was fortunate to have been situated in a well shaded location with a steady stream of visitors stopping to see my photographic work. This was the first time I have shown any of my art in Toronto and the first time I have participated in a large art fair such as this. I had the chance to meet and speak with a variety of artists and gallerists over the course of three days in front of Toronto City Hall. Repeatedly, I was engaged in heady conversations about such things as the place of digital work in contemporary art practice, my method and my influences. I was absolutely thrilled late saturday when I was awarded a prize for Best Computer Altered Photography. This award advances me into a fantastic group exhibition of other winners from TOAE at First Canadian Place in Toronto this coming January. Thank you to all who helped make this such a great experience. Photos courtesy of Philip Carney. Thanks Dad.
